Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Brainstorm, a native macOS application, and the optional Brainstorm Pro subscription. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Brainstorm on your Macs. The core app is free to use. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or remove notices from the app.

Brainstorm Pro subscription

• Pro unlocks the AI features and other Pro benefits described on the pricing page.
• Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe on the plan you choose (monthly, per semester, or annual) and renew automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Prices may change with notice, and any change applies to future billing periods.
• AI features are subject to fair-use limits so the service stays sustainable; the current limits are enforced per account.

Refunds

If something is not right, email us within 14 days of a charge and we will make it right, in line with your local consumer-protection rights.

Acceptable use

Use Brainstorm lawfully. Do not attempt to break, overload, or abuse the service, and do not use the AI features to generate unlawful content.

Your content

You own everything you create. Your notebooks stay on your device; see the Privacy Policy for how the limited account, billing, and AI data are handled.

Disclaimer and liability

Brainstorm is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. AI output can be wrong - verify anything important. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
