Insert a picture
Click the photo button in the page toolbar and choose an image. It's embedded inside the page file (as data, not a separate sidecar), placed and sized on the sheet. Move and resize it like any other element.
Trace to sketch
Turn a photo into a hand-drawn line drawing:
- Select an image (click it).
- In the floating action bar, press Trace.
Brainstorm runs a native edge-detection pipeline (blur, edge finding, contour tracing, and smoothing) and lays hand-drawn strokes over the image, inked to match the page. The original image stays underneath, so you can delete it if you only want the sketch.
Tip: high-contrast subjects with clear outlines (logos, objects on a plain background, simple photos) trace best. Busy or low-contrast photos are inherently harder to trace cleanly.
